Imagine... You are Cizzors, and your good friend Disguised Toast have been doing all your tasks with you. You’ve placed all your trust in him, you’ve never been out of each other’s sight for the entire game— and there have been double kills. You’ve vouched for him several times, and you are 100% certain that he’s entirely clear. It’s a 50/50. You know exactly who to vote for. You and Toast are going to win together, as crewmates. And then the black-and-red defeat screen shows up on your computer, and Toast was an impostor. How?

Marinate

To marinate someone is to gain somebody's trust only to take advantage of them at a later point in time. Though the meaning originated from a video game, it is a great all-around term and can/should be applied to many situations.

Example 1: Don't hang around with Joe, he seems like a nice dude but he'll eventually marinate you by asking you to "borrow" some money

Example 2: Yo I just marinated this girl to send me feet pics for this "school assignment" that I'm doing
