Originally created as a misogynistic insult against woman, often directed at sexually active & poor women to slut-shame and class-shame. However, in recent years, this term has been used by people in a positive sense to reclaim it’s power; it is now used to describe someone who is proud of their sexuality, and often dresses alternative.

Originally: “You’re such a gutterwhore.” (in a negative gesture)
