A soft, stupid, but overtly friendly boy. A term used by a female to describe a male companion who, like the average Golden Retriever dog, has at least 5 generations of parents who are siblings. His personality reflects this as he is oblivious, slow, but persistently happy. Like many golden retrievers, people are easily distracted by his cute looks and friendly demeanor, so he is often able to exhibit both socially and morally unacceptable behavior without consequence.

Matt is such a golden retriever boyfriend, I found my mom’s jewelry in his car and he said he was going to have it professionally cleaned as a surprise. Isn’t that precious?
