A repetitive, addictive, yet oddly pleasurable game for two.
A grid of nine boxes is drawn. The players pick their symbol (a naught or a cross), then take turns to fill a box with their individual symbol. The winner is the first to complete a line of three symbols - diagonally, horizontally, or vertically. The loser will then immediatly demand a rematch.
This game is often played on the back rows of classrooms and lecture threatres in schools and Universities across the world.

Get the star-crossed lovers mug."Crossed wires" can describe either of these situations:
1. when people who are supposedly having a conversation with each other are actually talking about completely different things
2. when a dialogue gets out of sync because people are not listening to each other - in a written dialogue this is usually because someone has posted twice before reading a reply.
The expression derives from ye olden days of analogue telephones. Sometimes when speaking on the phone in the 60s or 70s it was possible to hear another conversation on the same line. You might also pick up the phone and find that instead of a dial tone you could hear a conversation. This situation was called "crossed wires".

Get the crossed the line mug.La Crosse is a city in Wisconsin. La Crosse has only 55,000 people in it. It is are a major drinking city. La Crosse has the most bars on one street in the whole nation (thats crazy considering we only have 55,000 people), two huge breweries that supply alot of alcohol to the midwest and the rest of the nation, and the worlds largest six pack. Alcohol prices are really low, and our bars always have cheap drinks and really good specials. The Octoberfest in La Crosse is the second biggest in the world, second only to Berlin, Germany. If someone from Wisconsin tries to enter a drinking contest down south, most places wont even let you join. Wisconsin is the drunkest state in America, and La Crosse is the drunkest city in Wisconsin. There are three colleges: UWL, Virterbo, and WWTC.
