The corruption is a naturally spreading cancer-like biome that turns everything evil, withered, shriveled, and decayed with a pale purple hue. Compared to its counterparts, Crimson and Hallow, many players regard it as being the easiest evil biome as it has a low variety of enemies to fight against, even in hardmode. Gear is generally lower quality and enemies are weaker.
