Afterburner Syndrome

A mental health disorder characterized by the compulsive over analysis of performance metrics in search of non-existent problems.

Named after the software most commonly used for this purpose,"MSI Afterburner".

A: "Have you seen Jerry lately? He was yelling on a call the other day about how his computer is never reaching its full potential."
B: "Oh yeah, he's got 'Afterburner Syndrome.' I told him that's normal for a five-year-old game, but he won't listen."
