PETA

A group of people who basically got the right idea comes to helping animals, yet completely shoot their own legs with a functioning replica of little boy while doing so.

Let me explain:

They try to help animals in need, and put up posters like

"Eating meat makes people impotent" or, the most retarded one of all there could possibly be:

"Stop Pokemon! We should not promote stuffing animals into small balls"
(Implying that Pokemons are a real thing and implying that the gaming community gives a damn. Which it don't. We have been accused off everything ranging from being violent to being mass rapists and far beyond.)

Taken from "Hoisted by his own petard" (Petard is some 16th century shaped charge for breaking into fortresses. If the bomb goes off while the French guy is installing it on the wall, he is then hoisted by his own petard). So when you or someone has plans or an occupation or way of doing things that blows up in their face or defeats their own purposes, they are then, petarded. Especially fun if you can't use the 'r' word in certain company...

He tried showing off by rushing through but he just screwed up spectacularly and now he's soooo petarded.
