Coconut

A coconut is a terminology used to describe any person of colour who has become whitewashed in their behaviour and mentality by denouncing their own culture and taking on European culture and mentality.

The coconut symbolises a person being brown on the outside and white on the inside. This terminology was widely used in the United Kingdom by West Indians and Asians during the 1970s and 1990s, but has become less used as more people intermix.

Lenny Henry is such coconut, he always makes jokes at the expense of West Indian people just to entertain white people.
