Regrehty

Regrehty (noun)
Pronunciation: /ˈrɛɡrɛti/

Definition: A complex, contradictory emotional state where a person feels a mix of hate, pity, satisfaction, and regret simultaneously. Often experienced when looking back on a situation that caused pain or conflict, where part of you feels bitter about it, another part of you feels sorry for yourself or others, and yet, there’s a strange sense of satisfaction or acceptance despite it all.
"After that awkward breakup, I felt this weird kind of regrehty—I hated how it ended, I pitied myself for getting into it, but I couldn’t deny the satisfaction of finally being free."

"She looked at her old job and felt nothing but regrehty—a mix of hatred for her boss, pity for the people still working there, and satisfaction that she was out, but regret for leaving the paycheck behind."

regressivism

A political ideology aimed at rolling back societal progress, mainly where social justice and equal rights are concerned. It can be opposed to any background, class, creed, ethnicity, gender, language, nation, race, religion, sex, etc. Usually specific to the region, society and time. Often confused with conservatism. Whereas conservatism attempts to prevent new social change, regressivism aims to reverse existing change entirely. Regressivists often hide under the incorrect label of conservatism which has the effect of sanitizing their beliefs.
JOŽO: Dežo calls himself a conservative, but I know for a fact he wants to take away already existing rights.
FERO: His ideology is not conservatism, it is regressivism.

Regressive Insanity Syndrome

Pronunciation: /rɪˈɡrɛsɪv ɪnˈsænɪti ˈsɪndroʊm/
noun

1. A psychological and metaphysical condition observed in individuals who experience cyclical temporal regression, typically triggered by death, and return to a fixed point in their personal timeline. The syndrome describes the progressive erosion of sanity and the conscious adoption of a fractured psyche as a direct result of the accumulated trauma from repeated deaths and lived experiences across multiple timelines.

2. The defining state where the subject ceases to perceive regression as a failure or a punishment, and instead weaponizes the process. By deliberately absorbing the existential dissonance and psychic feedback of their fractured existence, the subject transforms latent insanity into a source of power, strategic insight, or unconventional ability, viewing each life and death as an experimental data point for achieving a superordinate goal.
Characters like 'Kim Gong-Ja' from the manhwa "SSS Class Suicide Hunter" and 'Encrid' from the manhwa "Eternally Regressing Knight" use their eternal regression curse as a tool and a method to get stronger, meanwhile also obtaining the insanity of being able to tolerate pain and death tens and even hundreds of times without giving up. This is the definition of the 'Regressive Insanity Syndrome'
