IVS (Inflammatory Vaginal Syndrome)

When a female in Heat sees a potential mate, the hormones that are released may trigger an involuntary reaction. This reaction causes blood to rush to the vaginal area, this swells and creates irritation and irritability. One is able to tell when a female has IVS when she starts sweating uncontrollably and breathing heavily when she sees a potential mate.

This term refers to the books and authors that are a favourite for a specific famous person or influential in this person's life. Books that were simply read or studied by that person are often (and whenever data permits) also mentioned. Within this context, the term infloox™ also refers to the list of all such books and authors; this list is presented in decreasing order of influence weight — or of intensity of the liking of a book or author.

The meaning extends to collective influences — that is, to influences over groups of persons, types of activities, countries, or ranges of years. In this case, infloox refers to the books and authors that were favourites or influential for the group as a whole.

Oprah's infloox is quite lengthy and varied, ranging from Steinbeck to Toni Morrison.

Inflectious

Mispronunciation or misspelling of a word which starts off only being used in a small group, but catches on to a much wider group. Happens a lot in the world of management consulting where words are bastardised on a regular basis and then become part of the standard vernacular.

The way he pronounced that word was wrong, but it sounded cool so the rest of the team started pronoucing it the same way. It was inflectious.
