A sexy dance originating in the Middle East / Arab culture. First appearing in Egypt. Interest in the dance began in the 1930's.

There is not only woman belly dancers, but also men too. Both dance in different ways but dancing the same dance (belly dancing).

Belly dance in Arabic is called raqs sharqi or raqs baladi.

Techniques include doing the "snake" with the belly, ass shaking, boob shaking, and more.

It than became spread around the world and is a popular dance.
