To say that people only watched the movie because it was associated with DC is to ignore the fact that DC doesn't have a good track record in terms of movies and outside of the Dark Knight trilogy; nobody liked those movies.

Hym "Outside of the Christopher Nolan movies DC doesn't have a good track record. Even with the popularity of the Avengers movie Superhero films are still a niche demographic and there are still people who are averse to superhero movies and DIDN'T watch it for that reason. I loved the Man of Steel and anyone who has been reading long enough knows that Zack Snyder 'shared my vision' and I'll defend it to the grave but no one else really liked it. Nobody liked the Tim Burton Batman really. What would you say is the best DC film outside of the Dark Knight trilogy? Is it the one I wrote? Well? I would have said Man of Steel but I'm a solid 3rd place."

DC coon

An aggressive and dangerous black person in the Washington DC area. They prey on tourists- mugging, stealing, carjacking..assaulting them. They will try and intimidate the victim by being loud and speaking coon talk. They have bad intentions. And there’s very little repercussions due to local political leader’s policies on crime.

While walking to the Jefferson Memorial, a group of DC coons threatened to shoot me if I didn’t give them my wallet.
