Trans people, mostly on Tumblr, who believe you need body dysphoria to be transgender. They police the identities of other transgender people and often mock nonbinary teenagers.

Truscum: “you can’t be trans! You don’t feel dysphoria every second of the day!”

Transgender person: “you don’t need to constantly be suffering to be trans, and you’re a truscum”

Truscum

A truscum is a (usually trans) person who believes that you need dysphoria to be trans. It's an archaic argument which seeks cis approval instead of holding trans people up. A lot of truscum have extreme internalised transphobia, which they take out on other trans people who they see as 'transtrenders'.

Person A: Did you know Kalvin Garrah's a truscum?

Person B: Yeah, he's hurt a lot of people with that kind of logic.
