An on-again, off-again relationship between two people that are dating. This on-again/off-again pattern of behavior is very similar to the “Game on!” “Game off!” nature of a street hockey match. The couple will break up for usually very trivial/minor reasons and get back together numerous times. During this process they normally make sure to tell all of their friends and anyone else who will listen every step of the way to the point of being extremely annoying and insufferable.

One minute they are happy in love and the next there are tears and crying and hatred and bitterness as they part ways for the umpteenth time. This happens about every week or two.”

Street 'Surance

Street 'Surance is health insurance sold to the poorest sectors of American society, often door-to-door. Such policies are often worthless, the payout ratio being notoriously low. Most such companies engaged in this activity operate outside normal perameters and many are straightforwardly illegal. The pejorative use of the word 'Surance' refers to how the word Insurance may be pronounced by low income families, at whom such policies are targeted.

One of the best dramatized examples of Street 'Surance in modern culture is in the Matt Damon/Danny De Vito film 'Rainmaker', based on the novel by John Grisham, in which a young man with terminal cancer dies because the his "insurance policy" will not pay out. Unsurprisingly, the "Insurance company" is merely a Ponzi scheme and has been looted by the proprietor. The film revolves around a court case brought by the posthumous claimant (and his parents).

Street Pigeon

Kind of like a regular pigeon, but born & raised in the city. You can find a street pigeon posted up in a random alley or just walking down the main strip. A street pigeon is tougher than your average pigeon because he's seen some shit. It is not in your best interest to ever make eye contact with a street pigeon, as it will feel provoked.

You see that street pigeon over there eating a cigarette butt like he don't even care?! These street pigeons be out here just trying to get a crumb.
