Get the potch godmug. God's Work Syndrome, or GWS, is the condition where someone is convinced that the work they are doing is of utmost importance to humankind, aka, God's work. Not applicable to situations where someone is actually doing societally important work, i.e., doctors, firefighters etc. But rather used when someone is deluded about the importance of their job in improving people's lives, and feels entitled, ex. entrepreneurs, academics.
