Trump

To fail at something when you were in a position of extreme advantage; also to obviously fail and then lie and say you didn't fail.
The golf ball was only a foot from the hole, but he trumped it. I think his final scorecard was low by at least 18 strokes. What a trumper.

Trump effect

When permission to be racist is granted to the public by somebody famous who says some racist shit (often claiming later it was a “joke - wink wink”) and then hate crimes/hate speech go up against the same ethnic group that was targeted by that famous person. Especially pronounced when other public figures publicly agree with the racist remarks or refuse to publicly criticize them. A statistically significant effect that’s been documented as beginning during Trump’s presidential campaign, and continuing through his presidency and post presidency.
“Wow, the membership in white supremacist groups and far right hate groups went up like 400% between 2015 and 2020”

“Yup, that’s the Trump effect. He’s their best recruiter. By all means, let’s elect him again in 2024!”

Trump Card

A secret advantage you have that when used, will get you what you want or need.
Mike's boss refused to promote him, so Mike played his trump card. He had a collection of recordings of the boss demanding sexual favors from female employees which would be sent to HR unless he was given the promotion.

Trump cuck

(noun, adjective) A "Trump cuck" (or Trump-cuck) would refer to someone who blindly follows and supports President Trump without questioning the merit of his decisions, policies, or appointees. It implies a level of loyalty that disregards critical thinking or independent judgment, even when the choices may be controversial or lack thoughtful consideration. The term is often used pejoratively to highlight perceived submission or unquestioning allegiance to Trump's authority.
In 2016, during the Republican primary, Donald Trump launched personal attacks against Senator Ted Cruz and his family, including derogatory remarks about Cruz's wife, Heidi, and unfounded allegations linking Cruz's father to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Despite these attacks, Cruz eventually endorsed Trump for president in September 2016 and has since become one of Trump's prominent supporters in the Senate. This shift from adversary to ally, especially after such personal attacks, has led some critics to label Cruz as a "Trump cuck," suggesting that he subordinated his personal grievances and principles in favor of political alignment with Trump.
