Glass harmonica

A musical instrument consisting of a number of glasses partially filled with water. The glasses are filled to different levels, hence the production of different notes when the player rubs their rims with a moistened finger. The sound thus produced has a haunting, otherwordly quality. It is most famously called for in the "Mad Scene" from the opera LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR by Donizetti, although that part is now usually played by a transverse flute.

Glass Houses

A 1980 studio album by American singer/songwriter/pianist Billy Joel, went to number one on the album charts and has two of the 80s most memorable songs, ''You May Be Right'', and ''It's Still Rock and Roll To Me''. Critically well received because of Joel's versatility in his ability to shift from the jazz and pop themes of his previous albums to pure, new wave inspired rock and roll.

Glass Houses is now in its fifth week straight on top of the charts. Billy Joel really knows how to rock.

owl glasses

when someone calls your name, you look, and they have their "owl glasses" you need to lay down on the ground. "Owl glasses" are when you have your hands turned backwards and your index finger and thumb create a ring that you look out of.
