definition: buying clothes for an event far in advance of that event.

My friend is going on a cruise. She reports she bought a lovely linen skirt for the cruise.

Ák-ward

A word used to define those who live in Co. Leitrim, Ireland and are usually not capable of functioning in higher society (in Dublin, to which they often refer as "The Pale") without making a fool of themselves on a regular basis. Often make stupid mistakes, put their foot in their mouth and tend to be extremely socially awkward in most situations. Unless they're milking cows. Being ák-ward usually means they excel at this and other farming activities. Generally adamantly deny their culchie heritage.

Girl 1: OMG We should go to IKEA to get Secret Santa gifts!
Girl 2: Dude. Way to be Ák-ward and mention our Secret Santa in front of people we didn't include in it!
Girl 1: Woops.
