Get the There’s no place like Gibraltar mug."The place" is the mental state where one simply wants to curl up under a blanket in a dark room and sleep for hours. To be in "the place" is to be that special kind of demotivated, tired and anxious that makes you want to avoid responsibility and the rest of the world in favor of a cozy cave.
Friend - "It's 7am, let's make coffee and go on a hike!"
Me - "That sounds great but I'm in the place right now, can we do it tomorrow?"

Get the The place mug.A desperate sense of powerless that causes paralysis, internally.
A state in which one is restricted to watching their life without explicit control or influence, typically induced by forms of hypnosis. The person is inhibited from acting or speaking, thus unable to change their reality and instead watches like a spectator.
The feeling of sinking comes from the feeling of their life progression declining, slipping from their grip, going downwards. This causes such severe internalised distress that part of their conciousness becomes frozen/paralysed.
The term was made popular by Jordan Peele's 'Get Out', though often associated with the mirrored moral problems such as racism and slavery.

Jack's been using Meth for so long that he's powerless to change his own life. It's like he's been brainwashed, although no one can tell... He's in the Sunken Place.

Get the Shelter-in-place vacation mug.A neighbourhood located in Brantford Ontario. Also know as “Southside” by the locals. According to police statistics it is the most violent neighbourhood in Canada. The area is controlled by gangs and thugs and it is rampant with drugs like heron and fentanyl and alcoholics which makes it turbulent. Extremely high murder rates as well as other violent and property crimes that involve constant shootings and stabbings make it a cesspool of crime. Most residents are felons so respect for authority and police is non existent which makes police avoid the area. On a ghetto scale of 1 to 10 eagle place is a 15.2.
