UK: Somebody who is going to or has died, also used in an ireverent way to defuse a situation through humor.

1) Parachutist's reserve chute fails, 'he's a goner for sure'.

2) Submarine sinks below a depth where rescue is possible.
'The whole crew are goners poor bastards'.

3) Harry did not get home till 5am, he'll be a goner when his wife gets hold of him.

Gaper

A Skier or Snowboard who is usually not respected by many people in life, but thinks he/she will find that closure on the mtn, But really looks like a complete tool. Ski/ride with the latest gear. Paid for by their parents credit card (even tho they r in their late 20's to early 30's). Usually they only stay at high-end hotels mostly ski on ski off, they only go to the most popular resorts cause thats where they feel they would get the most respect out of there many Facebook updates throughout the day. There Facebook will usually read "hitting the craziest trail/obstacles" But in reality taking the easiest way down, or just completely bombin every trail.

Gaper 1 - "Yooo Gaper 2, where do you want to ski this weekend?"
Gaper 2 - "Lets just fly out west and ski the whole week"
Gaper 1 - "YESSS! No wonder you are my only friend"
Gaper 2 - "I am dying to try out these new ski, but i love my other new pair also"
Gaper 1 - "Just bought my plane ticket out west"
Gaper 2 - "Me to"
Gaper 1 - "Im going to buy a new shell."
Gaper 2 - "Me too"
Gaper 1 - "I'll buy a GoPro and you buy a hand held camcorder"

Pub Goer

Typically that regular "patron" at the neighborhood pub. Usually the bartender/waitress often brings them their "regular" beer in according size and flavor... upon arrival without question!

"Dude lets go to your house!"

"I can't my dad got home and hes drunk"

"Yeah that's right! My mom said your dad is a real pub goer these days and that....

Sorry... I wont lie, she said hes a fucking loser!!!"
