to measure the weight and dimentions of an object digitally using a cubiscan machine. The cubiscan uses laser to get the dimentions and a scale to weigh it. The cubiscan machine hooks up to a windows based pc and stores the data into a database.

War dialing is scanning a range of telephones (ex. 555-555-xxxx) to find all sorts of stuff, like fax machines, carriers, and BBSes (remember this was a loooong time ago)!
