Get the November 20mug. a TIME in the 70's where a group of teens would gather after school got out to smoke marijuana. 4:20 was the perfect time because it was after school, enough time to get the weed and smoke before parents got home. since then april 20th has become a "holiday" in which people celebrate smoking marijuana! also, 420 is NOT a police number and they do NOT say that when they see people doing drugs.

Get the 4/20mug. Supposedly "420" was a code used by the San Rafael police department, however, the department has always denied this. A group known as the "Waldos" claim to have originated 420 in San Rafael in 1971. The group met every day at 4:20 PM after school and eventually began to use 420 as a code for marijuana so they could talk about pot in front of parents and teachers.
