My Opinion:
I have only spent a few days in Los Angeles in my life, so I don't pretend to have an opinion on it (and you shouldn't pretend you know so much either unless you have lived there), but a lot of people hate this city. I find this sad because they assume the rest of California is also bad, and California is a wonderful state which I lived in for years.

The smog has severely depleted over the past few years and most other cities in the US can't hold a candle to it. Perfect weather everyday, beautiful skyscrapers and a very eclectic mixture of people. LA is the greatest place in the world and those that complain have either never set foot in it or are envious due to the lackluster city that they live in!

The only thing L.A. lacks is a great public transit system. Yes, L.A. has zillions of bus lines but busses share the road with cars and this makes them innefficient.
