To do something as extreme as possible. To go all the way out by trying to repair something, but to end up destroying it completely. To do whatever necessary to please someone, no matter the consequences. To leave people shaking their heads in disbelief.

My husband repaired that truck engine after it broke. Since it no longer works, im assuming he chose to do it lyle style.

"Do you like anyone?" is usually used when a guy/girl likes someone and they are curious if they like them back. It's usually used in text messaging when two person text each other. After saying "hi" and asking "how's your day?" someone usually ends up asking "do you like someone" hoping that the answer would be "yes".

boy: hi :)
girl: oh hi (:
boy: hows your day

girl: it was okay, how was yours?
boy: its was good.

-no reply from the girl-
boy: so do you like anyone?
girl: uhmm idk ... o_O
