Snapey

Snapey, derived from the name of an actual character going by the name of Severus Snape that exists only within the supposed alternate reality of Harry Potter. For someone to be snapey, they must be very goodlooking in a very obvious way, just like Professor Snape was greasy and in love with Lily Potter in an obnoxiously obvious way.

An area where a curb is shoveled, allowing you to cross randomly in the middle of the street and not have to climb over a snow bank to get to the sidewalk.

Snope-A-Dope

The mental gymnastics that Snopes.com does in order to tell you something is “unproven” or “false” . The claim might be true, but they will find any stipulation they can in order to make it “unproven” or “False” . This is usually attributed to their progressive bias.

Here’s a prime example of a Snope-A-Dope

Claim
Chelsea Wolfe, a freestyle BMX biker who is the first transgender woman to join the U.S. Olympic team, said on Facebook she hopes to win the competition so that she can “burn a U.S. flag on the podium.”

Context
Wolfe did not deny authoring the Facebook post when given the opportunity by Snopes and others, but neither did she confirm it. Although a screenshot of the alleged post exists, that post does not currently appear on Wolfe's Facebook page. Since we have no way to independently verify the authenticity of the screenshot, we rate this claim as "Unproven."

When one debunks an oft-shared myth on a social networking website by posting a link to the Snopes article on that particular myth, showing that it isn't true.

Person 1: Hey everyone guess what? Obama did this and this and this and this...
Person 2: Nope, it's a myth, as is stated on this Snopes page. (link here)
Person 1: Man, are you Snopesing me?
Person 2: Yes, yes I am. Check your facts next time.
