A highly unrecognized sport which requires one to be up at absurd hours of the day and in the pool multiple times during the day. The season lasts all year (12 months) for real swimmers. It makes the women look like men and the men look really hot, even when they shave their legs. The highest occurency rate of OCD, swimming is also known as "wall tagging."

Swimming

Most physically and mentally demanding sport on the planet. If you disagree, you are obviously one of the many who aren't tough, determined or skilled enough to be a swimmer.
Gives you massive shoulders + chest and a toned upper body. Great for your lungs and heart.

'Oh my god, who is that guy with the amazing body?'

'I dont know, but he is a swimmer for sure!'

'The others look so weedy in comparison to him with thier narrow shoulders and lack of 6-pacs. Why doesnt everyone do swimming?'

'Because the training is so intense and demanding, most people would die after about 3 minutes!'

Synchronized Swimming

A very tough olympic sport that is a combination of swimming, gymnastics, weightlifting, and ballet. Routines are ususally done in a team (4 -8 swimmers), combo (up to 10 swimmers) solo, duet, and trio. While during practice, swimmers wear regular swimsuits, goggles, noseclips, and hair caps, during competitions swimmers wear knox gelatin in their hair along with make up and are not allowed goggles. They also wear matching decorated swimsuits. The noseclip is the most important piece of equipment to a swimmer. It blocks water from entering the nasal cavity and affecting the swimmers performance.

Many synchro swimmers practice 5-10 hours a day for six days a week. Swimmers say the feeling during a routine is like a 400 yard dash while holding your breath.

kid 1: Hey, yesterday in the pool, I was trying synchronized swimming.
kid 2: Really?!?! Awww shucks, that is such a neat sport.

Occupational Slumming

Taking a job that is beneath a person's education or skill level as a means of retreat from adult responsibilities and/or avoiding possible failure in one's true occupation.

Although he was trained to be an architect, Hank took a job at Burger King instead because he didn't believe he'd be able to design a building that anyone would be interested in financing. His parents were disappointed by Hank's obvious occupational slumming.

brutal slamming death metal

A subgenre of death metal where "slam" riffs and brutality are heavily emphasized. Usually just called slam for short. Slam riffs are characterized by their slow to mid-tempo, low notes, and groove. NOT to be confused with a deathcore/metalcore breakdown.

Chambered Nautilus: "I fucking love brutal slamming death metal."
Giant Isopod: "Same here dude. Have you heard that one sick slam in Devourment's Heaving Acid?"
