A vaguely defined term from the Latin word Poganus meaning countryman that has become an umbrella term for a group of reconstructed pre-Christian beliefs systems which are often nature centred. Followers of these belief systems share a wide variety of beliefs as these beliefs systems tend not to be formally structured and very focused on individual spirituality. Their beliefs can be polytheistic, animistic, pantheistic, monotheistic, bitheistic, nontheistic or a mixture of the former. Alternatively and less confusingly the term Neopagan can be used as the term has also been used for centuries as a derogotory term for any non-Abramic belief system.

Religions that have come to be considered (neo)pagan include; Wicca, Shamanism, Astatru(thought Asatruars seem to prefer the term Heathen) and, Druidism.

Plagiatosaurus Rex

Another addition to the nvnv collection of natures finest retarded creatures. The Plagiatosaurus Rex is known for its copying skills. It feeds on copypasta and has its ever so famous sound, "RETARD". The sound is often uttered during english classes especially when the Plagiatosaurus Rex is bored. He is related to Antonosaurus Rex but the Antonosaurus Rex denies it.

Reverse plagiarism

Citing someone else for an idea that you came up with, if only to make it sound like a legitimate idea. This is the opposite principle to normal plagiarism, which involves portraying someone else's idea as your own. Neither is recommended.

Lazy student: Hmm. I think tax cuts for the wealthy were a bad idea. But where can I find support for that?

*gasp*
Student's work:

"Albert Einstein stated that President Bush should not have cut taxes for the wealthy. 'The actions of Herr Bush led to unsustainable budget deficits,' he wrote. Martin Luther King agreed, saying to thousands on the Mall, 'I have a dream . . . that President Bush's tax cuts will be revoked by a Democratic Congress.'"

Professor (reading essay): ????? I haven't seen students use reverse plagiarism for 34 years!

Plagiarism involves 5 key Stages:

Stage 1: John is assigned a term paper.

Stage 2: John goes to the Library.

Stage 3: John "Checks Out" a book.

Stage 4: John "Reads Between the Lines".

Stage 5: A few paper cuts later… His paper is written.

To sum it all up…

One night of fun equals a finished paper.

pagan metal

Pagan metal is an umbrella term for heavy metal music, which fuses extreme metal with the pre-Christian traditions of a specific culture or region through thematic concept, ethnic melodies, folk instruments and/or archaic languages.

The genre is largely overlapping with folk metal with the main distinction being the use of specific lyrical themes dealing with indigenous European traditions, beliefs, mythology, military and political history.

Pagan metal is most popular in Northern Europe with most of the main bands of the genre also coming from there, such as Finntroll, Týr, Korpiklaani, Bathory, Skyforger and Moonsorrow.
