overtype mode

The biggest bitch in word processing programs. Ever. There is absolutey no point to this feature. At all.

I wrote my twelve page essay on quatum mechanics only to find a mispelled word on the third sentence of my second paragraph with overtype mode on. Needless to say, I was not happy.

To use excessive amounts of tape on a Christmas (or any other holiday) present. Usually causes the person unwrapping such a present to have trouble opening it.

Oertel

An 'Oertel' (Afrikaans term) is the name given to a small creature that has somehow found his way into the world, but its existence is so new that it has no name/classification yet, so we call it an 'oertel'. It can also be used as a term of endearment.

1. Look at that little 'oertel'. Isn't it oddly cute?

2. Mom: Why didn't you wash the dishes today, oertel?
