the k-pop idol, kim jonghyun was part of a group called SHINee, though he’s released solo songs and albums. he was known to struggle with depression and anxiety. he was only 27 when he died, it was assumed to be suicide. he was truly a poet and artist at heart, after his death a mini album was released called poet artist. it’s very beautiful to say the least. so many shawols/shinee fans are still heartbroken to this day. we hope he rests in peace.
“hey did you hear about kim jonghyun’s death?” “yeah, i’m really sad, he was an inspirationto me and he made me so happy.” “he made all of us happy.”

Get the jungho mug.A metaphoric word involving SHINee’s Kim Jonghyun that describes death or suicide depending on the context. The point of this word is supposed to narrate seeing the late singer in the afterlife, which could either be in heaven or in an alternate world depending on what they believe in. It could also be called “Jonghyun’s fansign”, “Jonghyun’s meet and greet” or even “Jonghyun’s VIP station.”
This word has been used in a now deleted post with the poem “I want to go to a Jonghyun’s concert” by a user on Tumblr (@nekoneck) which describes suicide in a series of metaphors. Despise its dark history, it is now used to describe suicide, typically in sarcasm or it could be used as a replacement of “died” just like how we would say “passed away” or “went up to heaven.” This would make more sense if this is describing a Shawol (a SHINee fan) that passed away, but it could be used for anyone since the feeling of a K-pop idol having a concert in their afterlife may seem pleasant to some.
