Hostile indifference

When someone attacks, punishes, or lashes out with aggression that is completely detached from emotion — no hatred, no passion, no care who the target is. The hostility is real, but the person is utterly indifferent to why they are hostile or who it’s against. It’s not blind rage (emotional chaos), not indiscriminate hostility (attacking everything in sight), and not disguised hostility (pretending not to care but secretly malicious). It’s aggression powered by apathy.

Not to be confused with:
• Blind Rage → uncontrolled, sloppy, fueled by overwhelming emotion.
• Indiscriminate Hostility → aggression against everything without distinction.
• Disguised Hostility → manipulative tactic of pretending indifference while secretly hostile.
• The berserker fought with hostile indifference: swinging at anything in reach, but the moment a clear opponent appeared, he locked on and cut them down without a flicker of hate.
• She punished her enemies with hostile indifference, targeted and precise, but without anger — just empty violence.
• That wasn’t rage. That was hostile indifference — mechanical, detached, and uncaring.

Indifference

A feeling, a state of being, capable of feeling two ways but also, feeling neutral, capable of simply choosing neutrality. Or looking at other perspectives from a different angle that may not be commonly seen or shown. Understanding, neutrality, teaches far more than hate and love. Seeing from different angles, and not taking sides, without learning the “why”, instead of keeping others happy, finding ways to make yourself as such. Understanding the grey areas, while observing.
I may be indifferent to some things but it doesn’t mean i don’t care!

Naomi, why do you choose indifference when most believe a person is either evil or good?

Indifferent

No. You know that's not the case and you don't care either way.
Hym "Until I get my credit and money and recourse I'm completely indifferent about it. Don't see you giving a shit about any of my shit. I don't see you giving a shit about the dead kids or the rape. I'm looking right at you and can see you not doing the shit. And cut it out with the metric shit. You're trying to apply SITUATION-BOUND principles more broadly to literally every situation and then ttying to make my life contingent upon a deliberate misappropriation of the things I've said. I will bleed a fucking kid dry over this. I'll get somone else to do it. I'll do it from the grave."

Principle of Relative Indifference

Holding persons, places, things or ideas near to you both in proximity and experience in less regard than those more distant or those considered more exotic.
Jen is showing her bias through the principle of relative indifference when she claims that Americans have no culture especially when compared to European countries.
