Daydreaming

A physically immobile, recreational act where one's mind wanders off into scenarios outside their current reality. Usually done when one is bored or when one wants to escape reality.

Daydream
Ex. 1:
"This meeting sucks, and it's not even important. Who organized this? Well... I think I can at least get some daydreaming time in."
Ex. 2:
"I'm lying in bed and the pain is returning. Welp, at least I have my daydreams I can always escape to."

maladaptive daydreaming

When a person spends a big majority of their time just daydreaming. A person will actively move around daydreaming and music is a big trigger for it. There is no certain medication for it because doctors have just recently been studying it and are looking for a medication that would suit it best. People with Maladaptive daydreaming are often lazy because they would rather daydream. The daydreams are usually them in different situations with different people. They will daydream about what they wish they had in life such as maybe a girlfriend, a new friend, or just doing something cool in general. People with maladaptive daydreaming are often shy and don't have much of a social life.

Psychedelic Daydream

When you are having a psychedelic experience, relaxed, and you start daydreaming. Except that, instead of a normal, passive daydream, you actually slip into the reality you imagine, sometimes quickly and without notice, believing in what you imagine to be physically interactable. It's like a typical dream, except everything feels very fresh and vivid, and you're typically lucid enough to get out of it in a flash if you need to. Returning from a psychedelic daydream will leave you mystified and refreshed. All it takes is relaxation and the psychedelic will guide you into your imagination. Many psychedelic users are not aware of how easy this is because they are typically submerged in physical activity, whether by themselves or with others, not allowing their brainwaves to slow enough until they crash (fall asleep).

I had a Psychedelic Daydream yesterday. It was incredible, I really thought I was back on the beach!
