Supposed to be on the Island = A national holiday in Ireland celebrating the life of St. Patrick, where you even got to forget Lent for a day.
Nowadays in USA = Just an excuse teenagers find to get wasted either during the school week or on Spring Break.

Thanks Patrick's Day

An Irish holiday, held on March 17th. Not to be confused with "St. Patrick's Day" (another holiday with the same date). Thanks Patrick's Day is compared to St. Patrick's day in every possible way, except that you smoke instead of drink and that it was thought out by a strapping young lad, too "confused" to be able to clearly speak the latter's name. This holiday is quickly become more and more well known as time passes, moving from just three high school student to a whopping.....three high school students.

Nostalgic Female Teenager: "Wow, to think, this time last year, I was with Jake..."

Since so many people anticipate this day for so long and and cant wait for it to arrive...November 17th has been chosen to be another day to hug anybody named Patrick.
