Someone who IS NOT a slacker or modern lazy kid.

Anyone who actually tries to do or be anything productive at all.

it is ALWAYS an insult agenst the person using the term, refering to the speaker as being extreemly lazy or disruptive.

Look at that try hard actually playing the game instead of just sitting in the corner spinning in circles like me and my team.

Your such a try hard not using a wall hack.

Try-Hard

A person (usually a noob) who really gives everything they possibly can to everything they do; they are hard-workers. But they work for all the wrong reasons, they just really want to be the best at everything but they usually end up looking fake and forced. They really want to look excellent, but they aren't. They end up working harder than they have to and don't get accepted because of it. They are very similar to wanna-be's but worse because they make their actions obvious to everyone they can.

Mike- Wow guys, look at Justin trying to dunk! What a try-hard!
Bryant- *laughs* OH WOW, He is sucha try-hard! Justin!
Justin- Yeah?
Mike- STOP TRYING TO DUNK!
Justin- I just can't believe I can't touch rim yet.

Try Hard

A typical, so called Try-Hard, is somebody who thinks is realy good at a game that is being played, but in reality this person is most-likely the worst player (of the team), even though he\she is attempting to be the best and is putting the most effort into the game...

Basketball might be a good example for a Try Hard, this person makes a 3 pointer once in a while, but in general he\she is awfully bad\sucks at the game !

try-hard

A person who spends much of their time trying to perfect a certain game (usually an online competitive game). They achieve this great level of skill through watching Youtube videos and imitating their style of playing. When they achieve this skill, they are better than the majority of the community, thus get the name "try-hards".

This try-hard asshole just beat me 21-2 in a game of Rocket League!
