Midori

A common given name for a Japanese female. Although it is often written in hiragana, one of the phonetic syllabaries used in the Japanese writing system, it is not uncommon for the name to be written with kanji, the iconographs borrowed from Chinese.

midair passenger exchange

Seen on blogs, this is grim air-traffic-controller speak for a head-on collision. Midair passenger exchanges are quickly followed by "aluminum rain".
Controller 1: Man, THAT was a close call!
Controller 2: Yeah - we almost had a midair passenger exchange!

Midori Rule

The Midori Rule (named after Sou Hiyori, or Midori, from the hit game Your Turn To Die) is a policy applying to fictional characters, where if you find them physically attractive but they're personality is disgusting or they've done something unforgivable. The rule dictates that said character can hit it once, and then you will kill them.
Person A: I really hate this character. They don't deserve redemption, killing those orphans is unforgivable.

Person B: but they're attractive..

Person A: Yeah but they're a piece of shit

Person B: I plead the Midori Rule
