Amigara Fault

A scary manga by Junji Ito. The plot follows an earthquake which reveals several human-shaped holes on the side of a fault. As people travel to see the spectacle, they realize that the holes were specifically made for individual people. They then become hypnotized into going through their holes, emerging months later on the other side of the mountain, hideously deformed.

The comic is responsible for an internet meme phenomemon that surrounds posting of the following phrases:

“It’s slowly coming this way!”
“Drr…Drr…Drr.”
“This hole was made for me!”

Alice: Well hey yo. Did you read Amigara Fault?

Bob: Oh yeah. By the way, do you think that could ever happen in real life?

Alice: I dont know--EEK!

I heard it's Obama's fault

The logic that slack-jawed voters use when any political conversation arises. From the price of gasoline to the outcome of their mixed martial arts matches; it's all Obama's fault.

Political persuasion aside, there is clearly a strong negative relationship between intelligence and hate for Obama.

Normal guy: "Oh my gosh! That building is on fire!"

The Fault In Our Stars

A book written by John Green, published author. It is about a sixteen year-old girl in the fourth stage of thyroid cancer, and to quote directly from the dust jacket, "Despite her tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis."

I would say it is the most amazing book I have ever read, and I would be stating the truth.

Person 1: Oh my god the fault in our stars is coming out in 2 days! My signed copy is arriving!
