Emo Kid

First of all, anyone who calls themself "emo" is obviously a poseur. Emo kids are usually called that by other people, and they just don't fit in. They like Fugazi etc. or more modern post-emo music. Emo kids tend to wear really tight pants black-rimmed glasses, and hang out with either the druggies, or the straight edge ones hang out with themselves. Ultimately, an emo kid is a person, usually a teenager, who is still trying to find out who they are, so they want to be like the angry or sad music they listen to because they can relate to it.

the few kids who sit in the corner of the cafeteria alone, ignore everyone else unless they're making fun of them, and still have fun.

an emo kid is someone who is always stereotyped. someone who just is who they are and are ostracized for it. someone that i would want to be friends with. and emo boys are usually extremely hot. emo couples can be really close, and it's not all about sex. i'd want that kind of relationship! sometimes emo kids live straight edge, which means they don't do gangsta stuff like drinking, drugs and sex. sometimes emo kids can be depressed, but for the most part it's a stupid stereotype. everyone is different! and not all emo boys are gay, most of them are straight.

Clothes--Scarfs, mocassins, girl pants, band t's, sweet hair...and anything else they feel like wearing
Personality--Depressed...but not around their friends, usually sad, writes poems that make a lot of sense, listen to good music..can you tell im an emo kid
and not all emo kids cut

Emo kid- have you ever heard of the band (unpopular band that like 3 people have heard of )
Norm. kid- No it sounds dumb
Emo kid- no you should listen to them theyre sweeter then your gay rap stuff

Emo Kid

well, basically we are a race of very different indivi duals...do not get us mixed up with GOTH, SCENE, PREP, PUNK or anything other than EMO, got it? we see the world as it really is, beaut iful but ruined, mainly by humanity, sorry folks, its true...we know that life is cold, dark, scary and threat ening, but we also know that love is the most important thing in the worls, whether it is friends, family or a relationship, we take relationships very seriously as we are quite possibly the worlds most lovin people. its the popular belief that evry emo is gay and/or cuts their wrists...NOT TRUE! sure, emo guys love to make out, and we sure do love to see them making out! but it doesnt necesarily mean that they are gay, although there is nothing wrong if they are (if you think so youre a homophobe) as, as i just said, we believe that love is the most important thing in life, in any way shape or form. oh, other than music of course! also, emo kids do not cut thier wrists, well ok some do but let me make myself clear IT IS NOT COMPULSARY, OK! oh, and emo kids dont have to like emo music, i do and lots of others do, but we also have a wide range of tastes, from club (not me but i know people), to punk, to hardcore, to goth etc etc etc...real emo kids are not emo coz its cool, we are emo coz we are emo!!!

Retired emo kid

A person who once was sad and now is independent. A retired emo kid use to listen to: Dashboard Confessional, The Get Up Kids and Taking Back Sunday. Being retired, they have now turned indie and listen to bands such as: Broken Social Scene, The Drums and Foals.

"Dude, remember when Brad use to listen to that depressing whiny music?"

"Yea, he was a real funkiller."

"For sure. But, I ran into him the other day and he's all indie now."

"Guess he's a retired emo kid."

Emocide

A gathering of underground metal bands, occurring in the inland empire of Southern California. "Emocide", now a yearly event, began as members of several local metal bands complained about the popularity of the Emo style, pathetic attitudes of most anything emo, the somewhat unfriendliness of venues, and unfairness of society in general, toward people who prefer music of the deathmetal, grindcore and blackmetal variety. Disgruntled band members decided to throw a party, made a flyer and invited all their friends to join them. On a whim they decided to call the event "Emocide", somewhat in agreement with the term "emocide", i.e.: death to anything "emo", would be something to celebrate. Since that first gathering the event has become synonomous, (at least in the local underground metal community) with a yearly gathering of the area's most extreme underground metal bands, along with family, friends and fans, getting together once a year to appreciate underground metal, moshing & discussing ways to support and promote the music they love, the old school way - DIY style, in the vain of the metal militia street teams supporting and promoting an underground metal garage band, who called themselves Metallica.

Last year's Emocide event drew an even larger crowd, and word has spread, so that a larger venue is needed to host all the bands who have asked to perform.
