Someone who always has to focus on the positive things in life and never worry to keep themselves from going crazy.

Somebody who'salways smiling because they're not right in the head.
He/she would smile when somebody looked at him/her, but would be holding a hammer to split the back of somebody's head with when you had your back turned. There was a frowning cynic behind his/her smile.

He's not stuck-up, he's a cynic; he simply knows what the world is really like. Some people are just plain monsters, and the good ones are few and far between. And he knows that.
Someone that hates anything they think is pessimistic or realistic, anything that isn't viewed with rose-colored glasses.
The real cynic wasn't as broad minded as he/she claimed to be, he/she lived mostly for show, and only smiled on the outside, on the surface, to convince the world and everyone around him/her that the sky wasn't really going to fall like he/she thought it would.
