BBW stands for Big Beautiful Woman. Which, as someone stated earlier, is an oxymoron.
For one thing, some fat woman are cute, just as well as some people with a normal body weight are cute. I'd say the ratio of fat good looking people to normal weights is about 1:7. Not many fat people look good, and once their clothes come off it I think they become more nauseating than cute. All people have their own personalities, being fat or skinny doesn't dictate your personality. They only compare themselves to the skinny people, when that is not the standard with beautiful women. There's a healthy median between fat and skinny, and that's normal. (no, I don't mean America's average. 5"4 - 110 lbs, etc.) Excluding the .05% of the population that enjoys cottage cheese or bones, people, especially men, like that average. It's not beautiful to be fat or twiggy.

Janet is a fat woman. Janet calls herself a BBW because she wants more self-esteem but is too lazy to lose the weight. Janet uses the exscuse that she has medical issues, but at the same time Janet criticizes skinny people even though the majority of them have medical issues too, just like fat people. Janet could lose the weight if she tried, but Janet finds it much easier to bask in her own ignorance.

Females who are typically overweight by a large amount refer to themselves as this, it may be seen as empowering by some however others use BBW as a sarcastic and rude slang term for women who are overweight or obese.
There is a community of BBW's online who often do webcam work eating large amounts of junk food in their underwear but this is not something that all BBW's take part in.

"Big Boned Woman" This term has a not so nice way of saying - FAT.
Having big bones do not constitute an excuse for being over weight.
Women who consider them selves to be a "BBW" and are "proud" about it usually are extremely insecure, thus hiding their insecurity by "letting the world know" (loudly and obnoxiously) they are a BBW.
Some BBW will drop an excuse on you with you not even needing one. "I have a dysfunctional thyroid"; "I have a slow metabolism"
Some men hunt the BBW as some (60%) will take what they can get, this makes most BBW easy pickin for a sexual encounter.
Whatever makes you happy, remember - America has the most BBW in the world. So, in closing, if you like fat chicks come to the good old USA.

'Big Beautiful Woman'a term used primarily by women who have not seen their feet in several years but would still like to beleive that they are every bit as attractive as girls like me who realize that a five pizza a day habit wrecks the appearance. Obviously, they are not by the fact that only the truly desperate would date one of the 'BBW' types. Porpulous ladies, go back to accentuating your good personalities rather than trying to pass yourselves off as attractive.
I am a BBW seeking a man who shares my love of fried fruit pies and my hatred of having to walk from the couch to the refrigerator.
