Ao3 author syndrome

An occurrence in which someone gets into a situation in which they can't work on something they want to work on- typically but not limited to fanfiction.

Ao3 author syndrome gets its name from the popular fanfiction website "archiveofourown.org" and how authors always want to write fanfiction, even if they accidentally drink bleach or get run over.

Ao3 author syndrome is kind of a synonym for the Ao3 Author Curse, but the Ao3 Author Curse refers to exclusively fanfiction authors

copy and paste author

(n). Someone, who sees something on the Internet, like a definition on urban dictionary, a Web site, a song lyric page, or any place where text can be copied and pasted to seem as if the paster wrote it himself.

Sometimes the copy and paster does it just to get electronically published.

What often results is that the Internet has not two, not three, but four, five, even more Web sites with the same information, and it is hard to distinguish who the genuine author is. It could be a kid, a law professor, the guy at Home Depot, etc.

When I looked up for information on my favorite rock band, I found three different sites with the same content. Two of the sites were made by a copy and paste author.

Distant-author

A writer who was born in one country and had to leave her motherland for certain reasons and became a citizen of another one and writes about the people, culture etc. of her original country with the help of her imagination.

So, the manner of trying to imagine and describe about the motherland and its people deserves esteem. I think that we should coin a new term, i.e. “distant-author” and add it to Lahiri’s name since she, being a part of another country, has taken the help of ‘imagination’ and depicted her India the way she has wanted to; the writer must have every possible right to paint the world the way he/she thinks appropriate.

Authority Zero

Best fucking punk band out there. They're mostly punk but combine some reggae and ska. They're basically one part Sublime and one part Pennywise. They have a lot of Spanish and Portuguese influences in their music too and they have lyrics in both of these languages.

It pisses me off that so few people actually know who they are, even though they released two CDs with a major label (Lava). Buy/download their shit ASAP. I can't really pick a favorite song since they're all good, but try downloading "Lying Awake." When the lead singer was asked about mp3's, he said "i think it's rad" so don't feel guilty about it.

The greatest punk band in the world! They are amazing live and never disappoint the masses of people who go to their shows. They sound like a mix between Sublime and Offspring, and their acoustic album "Rythm and Booze" is the best. They are a local AZ band, the shows stay small and intimate so that the real fans can enjoy. Im somewhat glad that they are not a commercial band, and would love for them to stay somewhat underground...A Passage In Time is best CD! Jason Devore, the lead singer also has a solo album out that kicks ass!
