A grunge band from the 1980's and early 1990's. A very good band at that. Kurt Cobain's voice was amazing in the MTV Unplugged cd. I personally recommend 'Lake of Fire'. However 'Lake of Fire' was not orignally written by Nirvana. Kurt Cobain hated the popularty and being a sell out, but too bad for him. Anyway the band broke up, because of Kurt Cobain's sucide in April of 94. David Grohl the drummer at that time went on to form 'The Foo Fighters'. I recommend Foo Fighters personally.
"Where'd about folks go when they die?
They don't to heaven where the angels fly
They go to a lake of fire and fry
You don't see them again until the fourth of July"--Nirvana

Get the nirvana mug.Great Band. Completely dominated its times and is still great. Their lead signer Kurt Cobain, killed himself in the early 90's. They are one of the most influential bands ever.

Get the Nirvana mug.A band that came around in the late 80's, refered to their type of music as "grunge." This type of music, was no music. Nirvana brang something new to the youth of America, and as oposed to Guns N' Roses singing about good times, sex, drugs, and alchohol. The youth began to like this weird ass sound and a psycho-path singing about killing himself, and how worthless life is. Not real music, an attempt at it by a horrible band.
