The act of acquiring an extra hour or two of sleep through the use of a vague medical condition as an excuse. Kirking requires you to show up at 9:30 to 10:00 am thus allowing you to maintain your ability to give others a rash of shit if they take a sick day.

"It's 9:30 and the boss still isn't here. He must be kirking this morning."

Sanitizing the legacy of a troublesome history or personality for the sake of promoting propaganda and disenfranchising other groups via political and social means.

Providing a revisionist take on a historical (major or minor) figure who has committed harm to other through their life.

The other day during my history course a classmate was "kirking" about how King Leopold helped establish a free state in the Congo and greatly benefitted the Congolese people for the next 100 years.
