Sayers

Sayers, or young sayers, is a term used to describe cool folx. Emerging from New York City, NY, the word resonates with the LGBTQIA+ community, particular bi and trans* people. Originally derived from the special use of speech literally to say rather than to speak--the former verb necessitating the use of an object, this term is considered feminist in usage in respect to the arena of object-oriented discourse.

Jack: These young sayers here are really everywhere, you know what I'm saying?
Jane: Yeah, you exceptional tart. Nah, where'd you learn to use that language, dun dun?
Jack: (imitating Alicia Keys) I'm from New York!
