A "snitch" is someone minding other folks' business
To find information they can sell for a price
Or trade for some other form of compensation
A "rat" is a traitor, a conceiver, planner or physical participator
He doesn't sell secrets for power or cash
He betrays the trust of his team or his family
Hoping to save his own cowardly ass
The difference is, at least a snitch is human
But a rat is a fuckin' rat, period

Get the snitchmug. A snitch is a person, usually annoying and bratty, who tells on you at school/work to get you in trouble and make themselves look like the goody two-shoes. They also tell on you just to piss you off. I hate snitches, I want to get rid of them.

Get the snitchesmug. A meth pheen’s take on trick-or-treating.
The act of showing up unannounced at your drug dealer’s door to score drugs on tick. The phrase “tick-or-snitch” is said to the dealer when they open the door. The implication being they must tick you at least one point otherwise you will lag to the cops about their illegal operation.
Unlike trick-or-treating, it can be performed on any day of the year, however, it is especially prevalent on the days leading up to welfare recipients being payed benefits.
