Sullenberger Shot

An alcoholic beverage named after Captain Sullenberger, the pilot who successfully landed a commercial airliner in the Hudson river without harming any passengers.

The drink consists of a shot of Grey Goose, dropped into a glass of water. Grey Goose represents the flock of geese that caused the engines to fail, and the water obviously represents the river in which the plane was landed.

This drink is far from ideal, likewise, so is landing a plane in the river, but it'll work in the most dire situations.

Sometimes you just have to improvise. How about a Sullenberger shot? Drop a shot of the Goose into a glass of water, and salute Captain Sully

The nickname given to a skilled marksman who has a very quick fire time between the time he draws his weapon (usually a sidearm pistol) from the holster and the time he fires it accuretly. This term was moreso used in the old days when you challenge people to duels and in the wild west.

mat shot

A mat shot is a tongue-and-cheek type of shot where the bartender grabs a shot glass, picks up the bar service spill mat in front of them and pours the entire liquid contents from the mat into the glass. Usually given free of charge or given to customers asking what their cheapest drink was.

Some guy came in announcing that its their birthday and are expecting me to give them something free and special so I poured the mat into the shot for him and said "Here one mat shot!"

A type of sniping/shooting in FPS videogames, which involves scoping in (while not on your target) and draging your scope horizontally in the direction of your target before shooting.

Tim got a Drag Shot for the final kill cam on call of duty and everybody on his team went crazy.
