The feeling a hipster gets when he/she follows something from the beginning, only to later be directly and/or indirectly insulted by it.

I've been a huge fan of Travis Clark's tattoos since way before it was cool. He became a big deal and when I got a new tattoo from him, it looked like a swollen pig's ass. I'm so hipster bitter.

Hipster

A follower. Someone that keeps up with current trends, but tends to not, in fact, be a trend setter. Many present themselves in a way that it may appear that the are capable of making truly intelligible conversation. However the opposite becomes very evident once they attempt to be engaging with those outside of their social circle. Now when it comes to current events, generally speaking, it's usually only those pertaining to popular culture. It's truly the epitome of what it is to be of a herd mentality.

Hipster one: "I can't believe how popular that band has become"

Hipster two: "I'm not really into that sort of music, but if everyone is going count me in"

Anyone who listens to black metal, death metal; speed metal; thrash metal; or any form of metal for ironic reasons, or because they find it humorous. This termed was coined by the incredibly brilliant Azentrius of the Chicago band Nachtmystium. Its original meaning was presumably directed initially at spectators at a black metal show. Currently, nigel hipsters can be found in most cities that have less developed local metal scenes--generally cities where the hipster, fixter, hipster douche, bourgeois hipster fuck quotient is at a such critical mass that it forces hipsters to frequent bars that traditionally cater to aficionados of genre music. Austin, Tx; Kansas City, Mo; Boston; San Francisco, etc.

"I read recently that The Sword were put together by a record company to cash in on the current "Nigel Hipster"/Southern Lord/Necro clawzzzzzz/tight jeans and cardigans style of metal that's getting mad press/mad props from indie kids/Vice."

Ironic Poser Hipster

1. A person who dresses like a poser and also a hipster at the same time but fails to pull off either one well enough and thus ends up being ironic. They tend to wear tshirts that they buy from Threadless, converse shoes and skate shoes (particularly Vans). They also wear a lot of plaid.

2. Someone who is deliberately dressing as an ironic poser hipster for the sake of mocking actual ironic poser hipsters.

Ugh look at Amelie, she can't even dress like a poser - she's mixing in hipster in bad quantities, what an ironic poser hipster!

Christina always pulls off ironic poser hipster so ironically - she's super talented!

hipsterfag

Combination of hipster and fag. May also be spelled "hipster-fag" or "hipster fag". Used as a derogatory term to describe particularly pretentious members of the hipster or emo scene by appending "fag" to mean "stupid".

As I walked by the bistro yesterday, I saw that hipsterfag from my English Lit class in a Che Guevara shirt and rolled up levi's eating tempeh and talking to some white girl with dreadlocks about Federico Fellini movies.
