When you do a project for a foreign language class the morning it is due and don't prepare the speaking part at all but still get an A on it.

I pulled a mitchell on that French project that I presented today. I can't believe it worked!

You know that dissertation I was working on lately? Well, turns out I pulled a Leibniz: the whole thing was already discovered centuries ago by some German scientist.
