Something someone usually says when they're about to ask you out or something else weird/(awesome if you like them too) like that.

Otherwise they are being lazy and are asking for a favor, it depends, if it's a text, be scared, if there having a conversation with you and you can see them or it's over the phone, your probably alight.

guy: can i ask you something?
girl: sure...
guy: will you go out with me?
girl: let me think about it.

a vague-ity, but with positive intent. Saying this allows you to test the water, but is sufficiently vague to allow you to maintain a sense of detachment from the question.

At a restaurant or cafe, a waiter brushes up against you making it out like it was accidental despite him having plenty of room to move about between the tables.
You yell out so the whole floor of diners can hear clearly: "WHAT ARE YOU A FUCKING FAGGOT OR SOMETHING?!"
