Facebook Vacation

After being sickened by the masses' predictable reaction to events, addictively engrossed in endless links, photos and comments posted by others or just burned in a bad exchange, deciding to take a break from Facebook.

You get in a heated Facebook comment war with relatives about whether Osama Bin Laden's killing was justified or not, because you posted something suggesting that it was or was not. In reality, you'd rather just have your relatives be relatives, not political sparring partners. But since Facebook makes everything you post immediately available to your relatives, you are now in a comment war. Thus, you throw up your hands and go on a Facebook Vacation.

Depsolicious Vacation

A Depsolicious Vacation is when you aren't accually on vacation, but you act as if you are on vacation. A prime example would be Peter Gibbons in Office Space. You continue to go where you're supposed to be, but you're mind is on vacation.

I tihnk I'm just gonna take a Depsolicious Vacation during math class, it's getting to be too much for me.

the other definition misses the point. dipsomania is funny word for alcoholism (look it up). thus, it's a vacation that involves alcohol, as in drinking all of your vacation.

Hope Vacation

Specific to the state of Georgia: The first of year of college spent drinking, partying, and otherwise experimenting with everything they can find to put into their bodies. From the Hope Scholarship (given to high school graduates with a B average or better). Students often attend college for free and party their way to failing out after the first year. Such students are said to have taken the Hope Vacation: a year of raging in the dorms for free courtesy of the Georgia taxpayer.

Joey learned how to grow pot in the closet during his Hope Vacation.
