Panimal

An obscure figure in Greek mythology, 'the Panimal' was described as a sort of narcissistic wombat-like creature. It was said to possess a venom with similar properties to modern day herbicides that it used to degrade the natural environment. Some scholars have argued that this figure represents the first true mainstream incorporation of the concept of anthropogenic ecological blight, as the creature, Panimal, was commonly understood to represent a devolved human à la Tolkien's creature, Gollum. Indeed, given Tolkien's strong environmentalist themes, some scholars have wondered aloud at his familiarity with this Greek mythic figure in the formation of his famous corrupted character.

Panini-ing

a term used for someone that makes panini sandwiches all day. It involves alot of concentration because you want to insure that the sandwiches don't fall apart from too many layers.

Boss at work: "Get back to your panini-ing!"

Employee: "I will right after you give me back my concentration!"

panic monkey braking

when on/in a moving vehicle and there is a very sudden unexpected need to stop quickly, panic monkey braking occurs. this is the kind of braking where there is a cold sweat generated that drips (usually down your buttcrack) that you don't feel until after you are past the incident (assuming you didn't hit whatever it was that you were braking to avoid).

i was riding my triumph street triple in lincoln park at night yesterday when a stealthy 200 pound dog bolted out into the street in front of me between two cars! panic monkey braking ensued, and i was able to avoid hitting him, but i *will* need a new set of underwear.
