Obi wan effect

The instance of saying some words of wisdom to a person well before that person needs to use it, and when used makes a dramatic difference. Could be seconds could be years but will be needed.
Typically used in the student-teacher relationship.
Ex in movie: Use the force.
Ex in school: Take notes
Ex at work: take time to do it the right way

I wouldn't have got through college without the Obi wan effect.

Do you know that moment when the internet is slow down because of multiple connections or someone is downloading huge files? I had a classmate that always was downloading some files and because of it, our Wi-Fi speed was very slow.

lilliput effect

Refers to the constant aging of computers and smart phones. The Phone or Computer starts off as a Giant...and one by one apps and new programs and new demands are placed upon it. Soon that former "Technological Giant" is tied to the ground and nearly useless as if by hundreds of busy little Lilliputian apps and demands threading it into submission.

My i-phone seemed so powerful 2 years ago. Now with so many apps, photos and new demands put upon it it seems like those Lilliputian's that were able to tie down the Giant Gulliver with thousands of tiny threads... and so the Lilliput effect can reach even to our cell phones and computers.

Baseballcap Effect

When something is done exactly how it should not be done, but the original goal is achieved anyway. Much like how wearing a baseballcap frontside-back will make your hair stick out of the hole and form a cover against the sun anyway.

That was the biggest baseballcap effect I have ever seen when the nurse was supposed to protect the kids from viruses, but ended up killing them all, but hey, the viruses will leave them alone.
